My fee for a funeral ceremony is £220. There will be no additional cost for travel expenses within Greater Manchester, however, additional costs will apply for other areas in the Northwest.

What is the role of a funeral celebrant?

A funeral celebrant is a person who leads, writes, and conducts funeral or memorial services, focusing on celebrating the life, values, and personality of the person in a meaningful and respectful way. The celebrant works closely with the family and their chosen funeral director.

What is included in the funeral service?

The celebrant creates a personalised script for the ceremony. This usually includes a welcome, opening words, a eulogy, tributes, music, poems or readings, moments of reflection or silence and closing words or farewell.

How does it work ?

The first step is to contact me and we can arrange for me to visit you. I will help you to create and structure the ceremony. I will support you to share stories and memories about the person, their passions, interests, hobbies and achievements. We can discuss any music, poetry or other readings that you would like to be part of the service.

I will create a script for the ceremony that truly captures the essence of the person and provide you will a draft copy of the script for you to read to make sure that it reflects your wishes. This gives you the opportunity to make any changes.

On the day of the funeral, I will conduct and deliver the ceremony. I work closely with the funeral director to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

After the ceremony, I can provide you with a presentation script for you to have as a keepsake .
